The Long and Winding Road
The road seemed to go on forever.  We had to drive slowly, so the reduced speed made it seem even longer.  The road's condition went from good to bad, and then good again.   The worst part was yet to come.

Soft, deep bogs of sand make travel in anything but a 4-wheel drive vehicle difficult.  Many unprepared people have had to be towed out of the bogs by a local rancher named Charlie.
