Finally,
a sign from God
After about half your journey down this road, about 6 miles (9.6 km), a long line of
telephone poles will appear. You'll get all excited because they mean you are on the
right road!
But, there is yet one more trick! A fork in the road! Keep to your left, toward the Cinder Mine and you will soon be along side the telephone poles -- nirvana!
The road is still quite bad in spots. Notice the soft sand that is quite deep, and the telltale tracks of someone who slid off the road.
